New methods to exploit Windows security holes appear every day, but that's not the case with Linux. That's mostly because there are fewer ways in. Open-source software, in general, is not targeted by hackers as much as commercial products like Windows. Linux hosting is widely considered the most secure option compared to solutions built on other operating systems.
